PWRD : engineered
Built different.
PWRD PrecisionFit Lowering Springs are painstakingly UK-engineered for long lasting perfection.
The vehicle's centre of gravity is lowered, reducing body roll for better dynamic stability and a more enjoyable drive.
All our Sport Springs are high quality, European-made springs, from the same factory that produces many of the OEM springs.
Fitting ensures that the car's appearance is transformed. By getting rid of those nasty wheelarch gaps, it'll look like it always should have come from the factory!
Lowering a car increases its efficiency at speed: less air travelling under the car will increase range a little on the motorway.
Covered by our 24-month PWRD warranty for complete reassurance.
PWRD: before & after:
HOW WILL IT SIT?
So how will your Model Y sit with PWRD Lowering Springs installed?
The S1 Dynamic Springs for Model Y Performance and Dual Motor versions are the perfect solution, giving a drop of around 35mm front and 40mm rear. This drop is ideal for dynamic, fast road & motorway use - plus a stunning appearance; yet retaining enough 'real life' clearance under the car to better cope with rougher roads and speed bumps.

Highly recommended! I've installed the Dynamic springs on my Model Y Performance and it rides really well and looks so much better!

FAQ
Got questions? Here’s everything you need to know before choosing your PWRD Lowering Springs:
Is there anything else I need to install them?
No, nothing at all.
Get them installed, get the wheel alignment checked/corrected and you're done.
Note that when lowered with the S2 Dynamic Plus Springs (the lower of our two options), you may want to add a pair of Adjustable Rear Camber arms to add more geometry adjustability into the rear suspension.
Will lowering reduce ground clearance, and what happens if I scrape the underside?
Yes - lowering will reduce clearance by approximately the amount of the chosen spring drop.
Even cars at standard height can sometimes brush against speed bumps or steep driveways, often just contacting mudflaps or undertrays. Teslas are well-protected underneath, but lowering does increase the likelihood of minor contact.
But remember, if any resulting damage from road obstacles is the driver’s responsibility, not the vehicle or aftermarket manufacturer’s.
What happens when the car is fully loaded with passengers or luggage?
Thanks to PWRD’s progressive-rate spring design, the secondary spring rate activates progressively as extra weight is added. This prevents excessive sagging when your Model 3 is loaded, while still preserving comfort and control.
Of course, at extremes of loading, the car will sit lower than it does when empty - so extra care should be taken over rough ground or bumps to avoid grazing the underside.
Will these springs work with the 2025+ MY Performance with adaptive dampers?
Absolutely. We've tested the PWRD Springs installed on a 'Juniper' Model Y Performance to ensure that they are fully compatible with the latest switchable suspension hardware. And they work great!
What happens to alignment when a car is lowered?
Suspension alignment (the angles at which the wheels sit, both when viewed from the front or from above) changes naturally with ride height on all cars. Lowering a Tesla increases static negative camber, and varies the steering (toe) angles.
Therefore we strongly recommend having a professional alignment carried out after installation. This allows the operator to fine-tune geometry for your priorities - either maximum grip (sport-focused) or optimal tyre life (comfort-focused).
Your alignment specialist can advise on available adjustment ranges.
Will lowering affect the life of my dampers?
Shock absorber life is influenced by many factors: driving style, road quality, load, and how often the car is driven aggressively or on poor surfaces.
Extremely lowered vehicles that sit outside a damper’s designed operating range can experience accelerated wear and degraded ride quality - the “bouncy” feeling often seen in poorly developed kits.
PWRD springs are carefully engineered to remain within Tesla’s safe damper range, maintaining proper travel and comfort. While any lowering may marginally influence long-term wear, our design avoids the extremes that cause issues.
Think of it like tyres: more spirited driving can shorten lifespan, but it’s part of the trade-off for better performance.
What about warranty?
We are entirely confident in PWRD springs, which are backed by our own 24 Month Product Warranty, ensuring lasting quality and confidence.
If your Tesla is still under manufacturers warranty, please be aware that fitting aftermarket parts may affect the Tesla terms and conditions - although only for those mechanical elements relating to the fitment of our products.
Naturally, Tesla’s warranty applies only to its own components and repairs - they don’t supply or warranty non-Tesla parts. However, your Tesla warranty remains in place for all unrelated systems and components.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes, absolutely. Although we are predominantly UK-based, we serve customers all over Europe and sometimes beyond.
